Working Together

You are here because you feel ready to receive care and support for your journey in life.

My goal is to facilitate whatever you need during this time of turbulence. There is an energetic field that connects us all, near and far — we are filled with life because it exists, and it is the reason we can heal, particularly when we tap into its enormous healing power.

Creating Safety & Trust

Our first step is creating safety and trust — what we do together. Whether we are doing Somatic Experiencing work, or you are working through end-of-life issues, my focus is on you and what your body and heart needs right now.

There is no such thing as doing this work wrong. We work on developing your physical awareness — what you notice, feel, or visualize — and release any tensions or blocks that arise.

We Work Slowly

If we go too fast, you may get triggered, and that doesn’t help. I make suggestions based on what I see and sense from you. We are learning how to track your unique system.

I might ask: What happens to you when you remember… What would help you avoid getting triggered… What lightness can you carry into darker places?

Body-Led Healing

I will help explain what I see happening in your body — not from a medical perspective, but from observation. In the process, you learn about ways to work with it and guide your own healing. Your body does the rest.

End-of-Life Care

End-of-life care can be done gracefully. We prepare for transitions, from life to whatever comes next. These are the greatest opportunities for healing, including becoming comfortable with silence.

Some people like to go through a life review, create sacred space, or consider how they might die consciously. Somatic Experiencing can help ease the body through so that natural closure can be made.

Please note: If you are looking for talk therapy, medication, or advice on how to solve your problems, I am not trained to do that.

If you want someone to be an advocate between you and hospice care, palliative care, or medical personnel — that is something I feel very comfortable doing.

A session with Nancy

Sessions are held in person in Rochester, NY or via video. Each session typically lasts one hour. We begin gently, checking in with how you’re feeling in your body right now. From there, we follow what arises — with curiosity, without judgment.
