Transitions: letting go of what hampers my being here now,
embracing what is possible,
leaving the world with courage.
Somatic Experiencing

Trauma is sneaky part of human life. It lives in the body — in your gut, your chest, your reflexes — and shapes how you move through the world and how you respond to people, challenges, and the physical world. It makes it harder to live fully in the present without you even realizing it.
TRANSITIONS:
Living life fully includes going through the natural transitions that occur — for example, the imminent death of a loved one, losing a job, divorce, retirement, gender identity changes, becoming permanently or temporarily disabled or having a loved one become disabled. The impact can throw us out of balance and can be a significant source of distress.
Somatic Experiencing is a body focused way to examine how we have been affected by the events of our life. We don’t have to go through the transitions alone, isolated or overwhelmed, but rather we can create a space to move through them with more ease, presence, and courage.

Living and Dying Doula (Sometimes referred to as a Death Doula or End of Life Doula)
Dying is a sacred process in much the same way as is a birth. No one escapes the event itself, but how we approach it can make the difference between a ‘peaceful’ death and ‘going kicking and screaming’. By seeing it less of a medical event and more of a natural progression of living, acceptance and courage are possible.
Transitions from this to that can also be taken as opportunity. My work is to make that process a little lighter. Living and Dying Doula
Legacy work Meditation and Spiritual practice
After we die, we live on in the thoughts and memories of those we leave behind. What do you want people to remember about you? What wisdom do you embody that you wish others to know? What would you like to pass on to future generations? Are there people you would like to express gratitude toward, people who have touched your life in significant ways? Are there people you are ready to forgive but haven’t had the time or opportunity?
Together, we create something lasting — a gift to the people who come after you. It could be a letter, a book, recording, drawing, or anything else you wish. Living and Dying Doula
Meditation and Spiritual practice
Barriers to leading a fuller life include monkey mind, negative stories, dissociation, habitual fear, and more. Meditation is one way to deepen our work and embody our life and yet, practice can get bogged down with expectations, assumptions, and distractions. What would help you build a more intentional practice? Bring your questions to a session where we can explore what is getting in your way. I have over 35 years of practice, failure and recovery that I bring to our sessions
